Music editor, MTV UK In a highly competitive music TV marketplace, Luke’s passion for music and expert eye for selecting and programming the right mix of new artists alongside established acts has con- tributed to the overall success of two key MTV UK music channels – Viva and MTV Hits – where Luke editorially owns and implements music policy. “He has a great 360 approach to projects
and is constantly looking at new and relevant ways to engage with our youth audience cross-platform,” says Virginia Monaghan, director of music commissioning and content at MTV UK.

Previously, Luke was part of the small strategy
team responsible for repositioning and rebrand- ing TMF as Viva, a move that supported an overall channel uplift of 11% at launch. His other successes include shared developmental and editorial responsibility for the Teenick Hits music vehicle, a music video partnership between MTV Hits and Nickelodeon.
OLIVIA RAYNER, 27
Marketing executive, BBC Worldwide Olivia joined the BBC Worldwide sales and dis- tribution global marketing team in 2010 in a newly created executive position, working on international marketing campaigns. In her first year, she has managed three high-profile events
attended by programme buyers from across the world: BBC Showcase Latin America in Rio de Janeiro, BBC Syndication Showcase in New Orleans and the BBC Worldwide Natural History Unity Open Day in Bristol. Olivia demonstrated her creative and strategic thinking during the international launch of BBC Earth’s upcoming natural history headliner, Frozen Planet, to more than 500 programme buyers at BBC Showcase 2011. “She is very astute in knowing what marketing our sales teams need to help sell programming and has proved she can add significant value to customer deals by pro- viding tailored marketing solutions,” says Clare Vincent, vice-president of marketing and crea- tive at BBC Worldwide sales and distribution.
