HATTIE CRISELL, 28
Editor, 4Beauty, Maverick Television Hattie has spearheaded 4Beauty’s drive into video and oversaw 32 fashion videos within her first month as editor. Her previous experiences as content producer include Channel 4’s Sexperience and sites for Big Brother and Gok’s Fashion Fix. She has also been both a lifestyle and entertain- ment producer at Virgin Media, as well as contributing to iPhone apps, viral marketing campaigns and web projects for clients including Sony BMG and La Redoute. “Hattie is equally at home inter-
viewing celebs, grappling with a content management system, produc- ing video content, maximising SEO strength and driving social media growth,” says Dan Jones, head of multi platform at Maverick. “She’ll be a successful site editor and content producer for many years to come.”
GEMMA HODGSON, 26
Assistant producer, BBC in-house entertainment multiplatform Gemma’s work has already netted huge benefits for both audiences and production teams alike, as she con- stantly strives for multiplatform services that work symbiotically with television programmes, and demon- strates a strong knowledge of the power of social networking. Gemma’s push to make 2011’s Euro-
vision more interactive with viewers doubled audience figures across all platforms, as a result of the strong bond and teamwork she cultivated between multiplatform and linear. “Gemma has a natural knack of knowing the exact tone and content with which to engage an audience in the social media space,” says Andrew Whitehouse, executive producer, entertainment, BBC productions. “She watches closely what other organisations and broadcasters are doing in this area to ensure the BBC stays ahead of the pack.”

Multiplatform commissioner, documentaries and specialist factual, Channel 4 “Kate is a creative whirlwind, one of our first truly ‘platform agnostic’ com- missioners – the only multiplatform commissioner to have a Facebook appreciation society,” says Channel 4 head of specialist factual Ralph Lee. Since joining the broadcaster as
a video syndication producer, Kate has had an enormous impact. Launch- ing C4 on YouTube, Bebo and MSN, she helped the channel reach 23 million views across all platforms within months. Kate was quickly promoted to cross-
platform editor of Big Brother, which she helped transform into a fully-inte- grated multiplatform programme, and went on to experimental documentary format Seven Days. Lee says we should expect similarly imaginative and impactful work from Kate as she turns to arts and specialist factual.

ALEXANDRA PULLIN, 28
Social media content creator, Holler Alexandra Pullin has worked on C4’s Seven Days and King Of…, Virgin’s Sons Of Anarchy and Living’s Cougar Town, and her very first broadcast project, Classical Treasure Chase, an integrated radio campaign for Classic FM, was nominated for four awards. When Alexandra took on briefs for
Capital Films’ infamous Jingle Bell Ball mechanic, she helped reposition and re-engage a large student audi- ence, with record-breaking listener numbers as a result of the viral effect caused by Facebook. James Kirkham, co-founder of
Holler, says Alexandra is pioneering a contemporary role at the company as social media content creator, and has shown particular “prowess for origi- nating content ideas for the social space” – a position he believes will be commonplace among producers and broadcasters over the next five years.
