In this medical negligence case, a physician was permitted to testify that he heard a third party state that a family member of the patient had called the hospital and given certain information which suggested that a subsequent treating physician was the superseding cause of the bad outcome for


the patient. Neither the third party from whom the doctor heard this information nor the family member testified at trial. Te issue on appeal is whether this testimony should have been precluded as hearsay.
