Prebiotic Chemistry Workshop


Established a new research group in the field of Prebiotic Chemistry, and successfully reached second stage of Leverhulme funding bid process for Departments of Chemistry at Durham and Oxford, with final decision due later this year.


Reflections on Water Public Lecture Series Eleven well-attended public lectures.


Robin Hendry Worked on co-edited volume, The Handbook of the Philosophy of Chemistry and Pharmacology(Elsevier, forthcoming), and developed five journal articles.


Stefan Helmreich


Produced four articles on the anthropology of water, including ‘Nature/Culture/Seawater’ in American Anthropologist, an Insightspaper on ‘Waves,’ and ‘What Was Life? Answers from Three Limit Biologies,’ forthcoming in Critical Inquiryjournal.


Water at Interfaces Workshop


Developed proposals for future collaborative research programmes, including a plan to bid for a Marie Curie Initial Training Network grant.
