Monica Grady Worked towards the production of The Atlas of Meteoritesfor Cambridge University Press, a 400-page book that will provide a complete visual reference for meteorite classification. A series of research papers presented to colleagues in Physics and Earth Sciences on the subject of the evidence for water on Mars, as well as talks aimed at members of the general public and school children, including ‘Reflections on the Philosophical Implications of Discovering Life Beyond the Earth’; ‘The History of Water on Mars’; and ‘How to Carry Out a Space Mission.’

Joint funding bids with colleagues in Earth Sciences to Leverhulme Trust and Australian Research Council to study the growth of island arcs.
Water on Earth and Beyond Workshop
Conference discussions continued at the National Astronomy Meeting 2010, and plans in place to collaborate long-term with space scientists at St. Andrews. Durham co-organiser Vince Eke invited to join the Science Team of a future space mission.
