FLICKS SAN DIEGO PRESENTS: A NIGHT OF LIVE COMEDY STARRING WENDY LIEBMAN Come to Flicks for a Thursday night laugh-a-thon as Wendy Liebman
brings her unique style of stand up humor to the stage. She started her career as a performer in the basement of her house at 110 Crescent Lane in Long Island, New York, by putting on the play Rumpelstilskin. Years later she attended Wellesley College as a psychology major, and then immediately went into therapy. She is the only person in her family in show business, but not everyone was without a rapier wit; “My mother is a ventriloquist but—not professionally. For ten years I thought the dog was telling me to kill my father.” Waiting a beat, she adds, “I got my brother to do it.” A seasoned performer since 1984, she has had numerous appearances on the Late Show With David Letterman and The Tonight Show. Thursday, July 21, starting at 10 p.m. Tickets and information at 619.992.5685
