A

rtist David Olson moves about his

assisted living apartment in Waconia, Minn., with determined resolve and dedicated purpose: to the kitchen to paint a new watercolor, to the living room work table to construct a model airplane, to the office area to manipulate his new clay sculpture. All the while, motion sensors — installed as part of a research study conducted by The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society — monitor his comings and goings.
