Director of Parking & Transportation Services
The Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership to Parking and Transportation Services. This position is responsible for administering and directing university-wide parking, transit/transportation and commuter functions; exercising administrative oversight of the budg- etary process and financial review of an eight (8) million dollar auxiliary operation. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of departmental policies; compliance with various contracts; enhance operation's programs and meet financial objectives; maintain pace with industry standards and best practices; establish strategic goals; and provide the appropriate parking and transit needs for the campus. The work force is comprised of exempt, non-exempt and unionized staff. In addition, this position serves on various internal and external committees, makes recommendations on maintenance projects related to parking and administers the enforce- ment aspects of campus parking regulations. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with five to seven years experience related to position responsibilities and management knowledge and/or experience working in parking industry.
