Things have gone from strength to strength and we are busy working on our first album as a 4 piece which is scheduled for release Sept/Oct 2011. We play as many gigs as we can and have built a reputation as a fine live band. Lots of festivals have booked us this year which we are really looking forward too and Mike Harding posted our video of our anti Thatcher protest song “Broken Bridge” on his facebook page which has brought us to the attention of a wider audience (Thank you Mike)

“Passionate “ “Real” “from the heart” are the comments we get about our music and live shows and that kind of sums us up. We write about what we know, politics, relationships, real life, struggle and injustice with a bit of love thrown in! Genre wise you get Americana, swamp, blu- egrass, country and folk with loads of harmonies and if you need influences they are Steve Earle, Gram Parsons, Lucinda Williams, Townes Van Zandt, James McMurtry, The Band, Gurf Mor- lix, Johnny Cash, Otis Gibb, you get the gist.

We run an acoustic night in Wakefield at Henry Boons that is into its 4th year. The last Thurs- day of every month see’s us invite three guests to perform a 30 min set. We have been kno- cked out with amount of talent there is out

there and have had the pleasure of some of the finest acoustic based artistes on our stage. Edwina Hayes, Holly Taymar, Charlie Barker, Wendy Arrowsmith, Anna Shanon, Carissa Lee Broadwater, Jade Helliwell, Roger Davies, Rebekah Findlay, Plum Hall, Mark Wyn, Boss Caine, Ryan Spendlove, Three sheets T’ Wind, T.W.O., The Travelling band, Gerry McNeice, David Ward Maclean, Alistair Artingstall, Neil McSweeny, Garron Frith, Jason Johnson, Lisa Marie Glover, Quiet Rebellion, Chris Martin, Jasmine Kennedy and Lucas Chapman Smith are just a few of the artistes I would high- ly recommend to any promoters out there.

The Troubadors have also had the pleasure of supporting some great artistes over the last year, The Band of Heathens, Elizabeth Coo- ke, Unbunny, Rachel Harrington, and Jackie Leven were all great fun to work with.
