No such luck for Just Frank; although they did release a single on ROK records and had the honour of John Peel playing it on his show that was being broadcast from the Queens hotel in Leeds! The boys moved to London to make their fortune which sadly didn’t materialise and myself and Paul moved back to Yorkshire and promptly lost touch!

I went on to become a founding member of the post punk indie band Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. I played bass on the first 3 singles and gigged extensively with band for three years, before jumping ship and joining Polydors new signing “Fiat Lux” This however was a bad move as Fiat Lux recorded an album with producer Hugh Jones ( echo and the bunnymen, Simple minds, icicle works, Del amitri) which was never released and after a couple of singles the band was dropped. Kicking my heels I bumped into Gary Marx who had recently departed from “The Sisters of Mercy” and agreed to help out with Garys new band “Ghostdance” which featured Anne Marie from the Skeletal Family. I provided guitar and vocals on the first 3 singles as well as touring with the band. The idea was always for me to be working on his own material and eventually left Ghostdance to concentrate on my own band “Riprize”
