Baby Changes to Change the World An Earth Day Health Fair Saturday, April 23

Earth Day is an appropriate time to draw attention to the environmental damage caused by disposable diapers, which can take many years to decom- pose. Taking this message to a world- wide stage, the 2011 Great Diaper Cloth Change will be held on April 23, and Eco-Baby Diaper Service LLC and the Natural Beginnings group of holistic healthcare service providers, both based in Naples, are co-presenting an affiliated free event, allowing partici- pants to help reduce what goes to land- fills, while pursuing a Guinness World Record for most cloth diapers changed simultaneously.

Raffles and giveaways of eco- friendly, new mom and baby-related products and services will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Unitar- ian Universalist Church, in Fort My- ers. The grand prize will be free cloth diaper delivery service for one year (some restrictions will apply). At noon, attendees will join with those at other events worldwide to use cloth diapers in changing their babies, with hopes of setting a new record. (Cloth diapers will be available for sale, if needed.) Eco-Baby provides weekly home delivery of unbleached, organic, cotton diapers for families in Collier and Lee counties.
