GHBA Celebrates 70 Years "Of the Year" Awards Presented at Extravaganza 2011


unique venue to celebrate seven decades within the homebuilding industry and to present GHBA’s “Of the Year” awards. Guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers among the museum’s lighted display cases and dramatic dinosaurs.

he GHBA’s 70th Anniversary Extravaganza was held at the Museum of Natural Science, a


Lisa Clark, past president, graciously emceed the event. The new Executive Committee and the board of directors were introduced and sworn in before an audience of approximately 350 guests. Mike Dishberger, incoming president, was installed with the help of a special guest, Mrs. Ruth Dishberger, Mike’s mother.


Kevin Holland, outgoing president, received his Past President pin and a scrapbook reflecting his tenure as president. A lovely dinner was provided and a history of the organization was shown on DVD throughout the evening.

After the awards were presented, The Lost Boys band performed while many guests crowded the dance floor.


The highlight of the evening was the award presentation for GHBA’s “Of the Year” winners for 2010. The winners were:


The Production Builder of the Year 2010 was awarded to Bill Dalton and Darling Homes.

has been involved with government affairs, HOME-PAC, the Volume Builders Committee and the Developers Council. Darling Homes also built a playhouse
