Save Time With Keyboard Shortcuts! D


id you know that there are keyboard shortcuts for many everyday computer functions? You don’t have to point and click icons to print, cut, paste or save - simply use your keyboard instead. The most invaluable keyboard shortcut is CTRL Z. This undoes the last action – excellent if you make a mistake!


Here are some of the most common shortcuts - most involve using the


CONTROL button on your keyboard. This button is normally in the bottom left hand corner of the keyboard with “Ctrl” written on it. Hold down Ctrl and press the other letter. So, for example, to print, press and hold down the Ctrl key and whilst still holding Ctrl, press P. Give these a try!


CTRL Z................Undo last action CTRL S................ Save CTRL P................ Print CTRL C................Copy CTRL X................Cut CTRL V................Paste CTRL B................ Bold CTRL U................Underline CTRL I................ Italic CTRL A................Select all text CTRL ESC............ Open START menu SHIFT DELETE.........Delete item permanently SHIFT F10.............Opens a shortcut menu ALT TAB................Switch between open programs
