Nutritional Response Testing for Pets

A

local expert can determine wheth- er the diet of your prized pets needs to be changed to help improve health and fitness or try to prevent potential illnesses. Iris

Ramirez, DVM, of Affectionately Pets House Calls, in Fort Myers, is providing free nutritional response testing for pets when visiting homes for animal health exams or consultations.

“You can find out if the supplements

and foods you are using are actually ben- eficial for your ‘fur person’s’ individual body,” Ramirez explains. “You can buy many things that are good and healthy. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a way to find out if your money and the time you spend getting a food or supplement into your pet is really worth it? Is the supplement actually doing any good? Things can work great on one body, but not another. You can fine-tune what is needed and find problems early, at a point where it is easier to heal before terminal damage.” Ramirez’s practice, which is affiliated with two full-service hospitals in Fort My- ers, makes home visits to examine pets, help with nutrition, conduct lab tests and provide other services that do not require hospitalization.
