As mentioned in the last bulletin,we have had our elections this year,with a number of changes in the BPNG executive committee. What is happening in 2011? Our Fundamentals Course in Parenteral Nutrition is planned for Thursday 14th April, at the Village Inn Hotel, Leeds. This course is aimed all professionals starting out in Parenteral Nutrition. Details will be sent out and put on the website shortly. We are still in the planning stages of our advanced course, however, the theme will be around
home parenteral nutrition. We will announce further details once they have been finalised.
What else will the BPNG be doing in 2011? We will be updating the BPNG Competency Framework in line with the new paperwork produced by the Curriculum Development Group, now part of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. We will also complete the work on best practice in
home parenteral nutrition and are putting together a position statement on extended parenteral nutrition expiries. All of these items will be sent to BPNG members once completed. Work with the new Pharmaceutical Society will
also continue, looking at ways we can work together for the benefit of BPNG members. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at:
