Coupled bowled over by golden wedding Town Talk
TWO Londoners who enjoyed travelling to the Kent coast and moved to Snodland in 1964, have celebrated their golden wedding. Ron Champion was born in Sydenham and Margaret in Dul- wich. The couple, who live in Taylor Road, met when they worked for the same firm. “We have enjoyed our time in Snodland,” said Margaret. “It has the schools, doctors’ surgery and everything we wanted. It even had a lot of dust years ago!” Ron, an accountant, has worked as a transport manager and was a director of a plant hire firm. He and Margaret both worked at the Lead Wool Com- pany in Church Field, Snod- land, before Ron left to start
