Boats by the day, half day or by the hour


THE Paint Pot situated on Brecon’s High Street is home to a hive of creative activity.


Opening at the end of June 2009 and offering a range of activities including a ceramic painting workshop and T-shirt designing and painting, The Paint Pot has quickly built a reputation as great fun-filled outing for all the family.


Come and visit one of Brecon’s oldest shops, built in 1589 and spanning five floors, and relax and have a coffee whilst your child paints their own pottery. Prices range from £4-£30.

Things To Do


TAKE a step into yesteryear and the world of steam-powered travel with a visit to Brecon Mountain Railway.


Travelling in an all-weather observation coach behind vintage steam locomotion, there’s no better way to take in the beautiful scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park.


Climb onboard at Pant Station, Merthyr Tydfil and follow the full length of Tal Fechan Reservoir to Dol-y-Gaer. You can even alight the train at Pontsticilli and stop for a cuppa at the cafe or have a ramble around the reservoir, where there’s a play area for children.


On the return to Pant there’s a picnic area and visitor workshop as well as a souvenir shop to take home a memento of your day.
