has stepped up its efforts this year to prosecute sex crimes on the In- ternet. Te latest arrest came Friday


(Dec. 10) when Woodfin officers paired with the Iredell County Sher- iff’s Department to arrest William Rogers, Jr. He is charged with solicitation of


a child by a computer for an unlaw- ful sex act and six counts of indecent liberties with a child. Officer Jonathan Ammons and


Det. Don Guge traveled to Iredell County to make the arrest. Am- mons said the investigation started in October. Te department has made several

Tuesday (Dec. 14) the C‘N’C Trailer Park that has been under fire since earlier this summer is still failing to meet multiple town codes. Woodfin Town Administra-


tor Jason Young said he would bring their findings back before the Woodfin Board of Aldermen for a decision, but that likely would not come until January. “As far as the park being up to


code, it was not,” Young said. Te aldermen had granted the


park and its owners a 60-day window to abate all violations in October. Te decision followed an earlier vote in June to revoke the park’s grandfathered status with the town that would force the park to close and the resi- dents of the roughly 10 homes there to move. Trailer parks are


not allowed in Woodfin town limits unless annexed. Te aldermen voted to annex


the park in 2003. Park owner Joshua Robinson


said in October he had spent more than $30,000 in repairs to the park. He said Tuesday he had spent


several more thousand dollars in the latest round of repairs, add- ing the Old Marshall Highway property is in the best shape he has seen. “People in the park have


pulled together and made the best of it,” he said. He said during a Dec. 9 in-


spection with town officials, he was in the process of evicting one resident whose home had multiple violations. Te leftover trash has since been hauled off and the resident has been evict- ed, Robinson added. “We gave it a good shot in the
