Weaverville Local 9-year-old kills buck

Logan Tyler Cartrett, 9, of Weaverville, killed this buck Nov. 4 in Jasper County, Ga., on Damion Reed’s 90-acre plantation. This was his third deer, and his third year to hunt. When he was 7, he killed a doe, and at age 8, he killed a button buck, both on the same plantation. His special grandpa Larry Banks of Weaverville took him hunting each time.
