HEALTH

all we need to heal ourselves and others is the consciousness that we can? And what if we all knew that we can actually cause ill-health by inputting bad information?
Summary: Consciousness and Healing
As we climb the Mountain of Truth and look below, we see things we didn’t see before. Previously overlooked patterns in the landscape become obvious. To those at the bottom of the mountain, acting from the programmed, conditioned mind, humans are simply physical beings, because their five senses tell them so. To those on the middle slopes, we are merely cocktails of chemicals reacting with each other, at the mercy of the microbes who make their home on and beneath our skin. Climb a little higher, and we see that our thoughts and emotions have a huge impact on our health. Higher still, and we become aware that the (invisible) energy which permeates our bodies must be allowed to flow freely if we are to stay healthy. As a regular reader of Quantum Health, you have probably already climbed beyond this point. You understand that not only energy flows but information transfers are crucial to understanding the body’s healing processes. And once you’ve reached a particular level of consciousness, there’s no going back - you can’t un-know what you know.
But have you considered that there is much more at stake here than whether this person or that person gets better and stays well? Our very view of what human beings actually are is on the line.
The Masters have taught for centuries that we live in an ocean of pure, vibrant consciousness, which is the source and essence of mind, thought and all matter. They are ignored or ridiculed by those at the bottom of the Mountain, even though today’s scientists assure us that this body, this ‘fixed’ and ‘solid’ thing, is indeed a mirage, not solid at all, and that the substance of the universe is consciousness. Humans have reached a higher plateau than ever before, and are still climbing. How much higher can we climb? What more awaits us?

I don’t know. I still have a long way to climb. But I do have some questions – big questions. Here are just three of many:
1. 2.
3.
Who are we? If the material universe is illusory, and we are part of the material world, we must be illusory too! We are consciousness – nothing else. Even though this is hard to grasp, we must awaken to it if we are to heal ourselves and this crazy world.
If consciousness is ‘the ground of all being’, how does it manifest itself into all its diverse forms? How does Mind (consciousness) form Ideas (information) and give Expression (the material)?
If the universe and everything in it is composed of energy structured by information, what is the source of that information? Where does it come from? That, my friends, is the question of questions, one to which the ancient Masters had an answer, but science does not.
Perhaps we can never know intellectually what the universe is really like, because whatever we ‘know’ is only an appearance in the mind. But at least, with the help of modern science, we now realise it. The human race will have to clamber up many slopes, discover many false peaks, and pause on numerous ledges on its way to Higher Consciousness. In the meantime, our exploration and experience of healing will be a vital part of the process. Perhaps when we reach that exalted state there will be no more illness and perfect health for all! And no doubt the ancient Rishis would be amazed that it took us so long!
