If you had the courage, what would you like to change, improve, increase or do differently this year? What do you want? What are you willing to take action on?
Think of something you failed at, but now you are GLAD it turned out that way. What did you learn? How has that helped you to change direction, or refine your understanding and grow?
Think of something you thought you had failed at, but didn’t. What did you learn? What assisted you and what qualities helped?
If you had the courage, what would you risk failing at now? What will you regret not doing, if you never gave yourself the opportunity?
What do you need in order to be OK with taking this risk? When you can master that challenge, you will be fearless and able to move towards what is really true for you without any inner conflict.
How well are you aligned with your purpose? You could be fulfilling a different purpose in each area of your life. Do you know your deeper Soul Purpose? What would help you to be more in harmony with all these core values? How can you best honour what is truly important to you? What difference would that make in your life?
Whether or not you’ve ever given much thought to such questions before, you might be surprised at your own answers. NLP can help you get clarity about who you are, what is important and how to make your life more fulfilling. The attitude of gratitude opens the door to making miraculous changes. Take a moment to appreciate all the ways you have already been living your purpose. What if you could enjoy the feeling of fulfilment in everything you do, whether it is astonishingly successful or not? By being more aware of your purpose, you can find new ways to express it, or give it - in every little thing you do. Your purpose can make you unstoppable. It will give your life more meaning. Becoming aligned with your purpose will increase your courage, vitality and energy for everything you want to achieve. All it takes is a change of thought.

Just changing the way you think will have profound effects. Miracle mindedness begins with reassessing the way you view things. When a shift of thinking occurs, whether conscious or unconscious, the process usually involves letting go, acceptance, forgiveness, a change of heart or a new perception that frees the mind and spirit. NLP assists people who are ready to make this kind of change. All miracles begin with a change of thought. New thinking means freedom from being stuck in habitual behaviours, ideas and rigid rules from the past.
Pessimistic people believe that thinking negative thoughts about what could happen is clever. They reason that if anything good happens, they can then feel pleasantly surprised. By imagining the worst possible scenarios they’ll be able to take precautions. Unfortunately, as they become so focused on what could go wrong, they unconsciously programme their actions to make that more likely to happen. They send out-waves of thoughts that resonate with the in-waves that match those thoughts. As the old NLP saying goes, ‘What you focus on is what you get’. In addition, while they imagine negative problems, they’ll also feel negative feelings: fear, worry, anger and dread. These negative feelings activate the stress response throughout the body, causing tension and dis-ease. Plus, with nothing positive to look forward to, they suffer from de-motivation. Although such people will argue that focusing on potential problems allows them to formulate preventative measures, many of those problems may never happen at all. So is it so smart to reduce potential pleasure, clear mindedness and enthusiasm?
If you’re ever tempted to think gloom and doom thoughts, why not make a commitment to changing that habit? It’s a choice. Start the new year with positive intent, clarity about your
