Statistics on Women and Money

By Remy Lepage L

ately, I came across the television and I could see a news story in which they talked about women employments and how their

salaries compared against those of men. At that very moment, I realized that even in 2010, women’s wages are not reaching parity yet. Of course, they have come a long way since the enormous in- come gaps of the 1950s. But after doing some research, I passed in front of some very shocking statistics that I would like to share with you. I think that data speaks for themselves and if you are a woman, you’ll really have some stuff to think about. Here are some of them:

According the latest Bureau of Labor statistics: - For every dollar a man earns, a woman earns 80 cents. According to the author of the book “Rich Women”: - 47% of women more than 50 years old are single which imply that they are monetarily in charge for themselves. - 50% of marriages end in divorce. Guess who usually ends up

with the children? The woman. Therefore, she has to be able to support financially herself and her children. - A woman’s level of comfort drops an average of 73% at some point, in the first year after a divorce. - Of the elderly living in poverty: 3 out of 4 are women. 4 out of 5 women were not poor when their husbands were living. And a very shocking one: - Only 20% of baby boomer women will be wealthy in their re-

treat. Therefore, 80% of them won’t be. More and more moms, nowadays, touch the home based busi-

ness industry. The great thing is that in many of these home based business opportunities, you are not required to know everything at all. You don’t even have to have great knowledge of how a com- puter works and how internet works. Provided that you have a great mentor and coach, you just need an internet connection and a com- puter. That is it! The woman who has a desire to be her own boss, to spend more

time with her family, to take a simple learning curve, and to take massive action, has huge chances to see great things happening for herself. So if you are a woman, and that you don’t see yourself in a good situation actually, or in the future, there will be always that great solution for you. You have one life to live! Take massive ac- tion and great things will happen to you. Remy Lepage is passionate about helping people achieve their
