The South West’s largest conservation and recreation charity welcomes around 2m visits annually to over fi fty inland waters. We are seeking an experienced individual with a broad understanding of the leisure industry and the environment to manage our sites on Exmoor.
This challenging role will require a customer-focussed candidate with good management and organisational skills to lead a team based at Wimbleball Lake. Overseeing and developing our successful watersports, hospitality and public access activities you will also ensure that the estate and buildings are managed to a high standard and that a balance between conservation and leisure is maintained.
Two bedroom house on site may be available to rent by separate negotiation. Closing date: Monday 20 September 2010 - 12.00pm Salary band: £23,000-£26,000

Displays & Maintenance Manager Cumbria, The Lake District £19,000 (full time, permanent)
Leisure/Hospitality/Retail/ Hotel Background?
Situated on the southern shores of Lake Windermere, the Lakes Aquarium in Cumbria is seeking an enthusiastic and pro-active Displays & Maintenance Manager to join the team.
Responsible for the development, production and maintenance of all displays, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and husbandry at all times. The role also includes management of the education and maintenance teams.
The chosen applicant will have experience of working with a wide variety of creatures including marine and freshwater fi sh, mammals and reptiles. A proven track record in the aquarium industry is essential along with an organised, structured approach and can-do attitude. Relevant qualifi cations and project management experience are an advantage.
