Rising to the Top and Taking Others with Her

By Lori Beard-Daily of BeardlDaily, WBENC-certified WBE

keting communications firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA has been in business nearly three decades and is consistent- ly evolving as each year passes. President and CEO Monica Maldonado has successfully

T

grown her business from a small print shop to a dynam- ic full service marketing boutique firm. She attributes the success of her company to being adaptable and having the ability to scale to the size of the client. “Our approach is very personalized. We look at what the client wants to com- municate and work closely with them to better understand their ideas and objectives. From there, we create a distinc- tive brand that reflects their image and message,” she says. Maldonado also has given her company a further advan-

tage by certifying as a women owned business enterprise through the Greater Women’s Business Council (GWBC), regional partner organization of the Women Business En- terprise National Council. “Being a member of GWBC al- lows my company to have an edge in receiving exposure to many corporations. Corporate America now more than ever is focusing on women consumers. At the end of the day, we are the ones making the largest buying decisions. Additionally, more and more women are owning their own businesses. I also really enjoy the power of women work- ing together,” she added. “Women helping each other from a B to B perspective is something that has amazed me since I have been involved with this organization. Most of us can be Real Authentic Women (RAW) and we are willing to help each other succeed!” GWBC Executive Director, Roz Lewis agrees. “It is im-

portant for GWBC to identify competitive women business- es that have the capability to support Fortune 100 and 500 companies in their supply chain goals. Corporations such as Office Depot look to those certified women owned busi- nesses that can remain flexible and manage growth. Inter- print Communications validates every day that they are a value added resource to their client’s bottom-line.” Interprint Communications has a unique portfolio mix

that ranges from brand identity to advertising, web design to multimedia, merchandising to trade displays. This grants them an edge among their competition and is indicative of their impressive list of clients that includes The Home De- pot, The Coca-Cola Company, Cox Communications and others. Maldonado thoughtfully describes her firm as a creative boutique shop whose diverse portfolio of creative styles are bound to suit the needs of major corporations and small businesses.

here are companies that tout they are innovative, of- fer uniqueness and have on time deliverables-- and then there is Interprint Communications. This mar-

Maldonado interests for her company are in first and

second tier opportunities within large corporations. She says, “Here is where we can show our scalability and ca- pability. We also invest in our small and medium sized cli- ent’s success by developing well planned creative projects that are executed efficiently. Recently, we moved to a larger location and upgraded our technology by investing in a six-color press plus coating. We are aligned for growth for when this economy kicks back in again.”
