Helena Board members on the web


Have you ever wondered how decisions are made at Helena or who the people who make those decisions actually are? Well look no further than the brand new Board member section on www.helenapartnerships.co.uk which will tell you just that.


Due to launch later this year, the new Board section of the site will contain photos and information about Helena Board members, who include four Helena tenants, some local councillors and a number of independent members.


We will continue to develop this section throughout 2010 and hope to start including summary information from Board meetings, so you can keep up to date on the issues we are discussing that could affect you and your estate.


We are also looking at different ways of carrying out Board meetings and have already started to hold meetings at community venues. We are even thinking about opening up some of our meetings to the public.

Helena is celebrating after receiving a


top accolade for customer service. We have recently been granted the Customer Service Excellence Standard, which rewards public services that achieve a high standard of customer service.


It was awarded after a thorough inspection and audit and we can now proudly display the logo as a mark of good quality.


The Customer Service Excellence Standard is organised by the Cabinet Office and covers all public organisations in the UK. In order to get the award, public bodies have to meet standards relating to understanding their customers, making sure all the workforce is customer focused, delivering good results and responding quickly to customers.


Inspectors recently spent several days at Helena, talking to staff, board members and tenants and were impressed with the standard of service which tenants and prospective tenants can expect. We will now be inspected annually to ensure that the tough standards are kept.


Among the elements the assessor was most impressed with was our Customer Excellence Panel – a group of tenants who regularly inspect services, advise on changes and hold us to account.
