Helena HEADLINES All change for Headlines
When we’ve asked you in the past what you think of this magazine, we’ve always been pleased with what you have told us. You have said that Headlines is well designed, contains articles you enjoy reading and is the right length - not too long and not too short.
We’re taking a fresh look at the information we include in Headlines to make sure that the things we write about, are the things you actually want to read about! After all, everybody has their favourite book or TV programme – so it makes sense that you’ll have different likes and dislikes when you pick up a magazine such as Headlines.
Over the summer we will speak to different groups of tenants to get their ideas and views on how we can tailor Headlines to suit different readers. One of the ideas we have already thought of is creating more than one version of Headlines and sending the most relevant version out to different groups of residents. Here is how this could work.
Version 1 might be aimed at families with children. It would include more information about children’s activities, quizzes and competitions for the little ones, and articles about days out and managing your money.
Version 2 might be written with older people in mind and contain information about fun events being held at our sheltered schemes or in the community, cooking on a budget, managing heating bills and details about any grants aimed at helping older people through the winter months.
Version 3 might be for young singles or couples, either looking for work or training opportunities, or even looking to get a foot on the property ladder and considering shared ownership at one of our new developments.
If you would like to help us to decide how to change and improve Headlines then please get in touch with the Communications Team by email:

Helena Partnerships is on the move
Planning permission has recently been granted for a brand new Helena Partnerships head office in the heart of the Town Centre.
Based on Corporation Street and just a stones-throw from the bus and train stations, Helena Central will open its doors in 2011.
A vision for a new central Head Office was developed back in 2007 after a series of resident consultation events identified that a one-stop-shop office in the heart of the Town Centre was a top priority for them. The new office will incorporate a tenant resource centre, which will be available for local businesses and community groups to use for events and meetings.
The new office follows on from the recent refurbishment of the Thatto Heath office, which is now known as Helena West, and the reopening of Derbyshire Hill office later this year as Helena East following an extensive revamp.
