10-and-under team heads to state North Buncombe
The North Buncombe 10-and-under team won the District 1 Cal Ripken Area Tournament on Monday (July 12) in Hominy Valley, qualifying North Buncombe for the state tournament beginning Friday (July 16) in Polkston. The team defeated Yancey County, McDowell and Hominy Valley en route to the area tournament title.
