Police catch CVS robbery suspect Park residents

lone suspect in a robbery Friday (July 16) at CVS Pharmacy, hours after the alleged crime. Christopher Glen Gentry of
Marshall is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and traf- ficking in opium. Police arrested him at his home
four hours after he is believed to have handed CVS pharmacists a note stating he had a gun and de- manding Oxycontin tablets. Police say Gentry then leaped
over the counter, stole several bot- tles of pills and fled the scene in an older model vehicle. Authorities arrived around 1:45
pm at the Monticello Road loca- tion and, based on evidence col- lected in cooperation with CVS personnel, identified Gentry as the suspect and obtained arrest war- rants. Det. Alan Wyatt and Sgt. Stacy
Wyatt made the arrest at Gentry’s home in cooperation with deputies from the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities recovered a majority of the stolen pills. Te street value of the stolen

Home Park in Woodfin are now in the hands of the court, leav- ing residents wondering how much longer they will be able to live there. Due to code violations and
public health concerns, the Woodfin Board of Aldermen voted last month to revoke the grandfather status to operate as a mobile home park which could shut the park down pend- ing a court decision. Te town has a lawsuit against the owners, identified as Joshua and Cynthia Ponder Robinson, that is await- ing a court date. Ricky Revis and Amy Clontz
moved in to Ponder Mobile Home Park just two months ago. Tey did not know anything about the lawsuit or the litany of
issues between the park’s owners and the town until recently. Now they are trying to find
out as much information as they can while they look at an uncer- tain future. “We’re caught up in the mid-
dle of this whole situation,” Re- vis said. “I guess all those people, all those children, will be out of luck.” If the park does close, town
attorney Joseph Ferikes said the mobile homes must be moved, a proposition that may prove dif- ficult for some residents. Most in the park own their
homes and rent the land from the owners Some, such as Revis’ home, are
