Volunteer Letter

Dear all,

My name is Sandie and I am a volunteer with the Cornwall Blind Association. One of the roles I have in that capacity is to run the Bodmin – St Minver VIP Club, which is held at The Keep, Bodmin from 2-4pm on the last Thursday of the month.

The Keep houses the Regimental Museum of The

Rifl es, it was formerly known as the Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry Museum, and we are privileged to use a room in the building. On April 22nd 2010 HRH Princess Alexandra offi cially opened the museum. I had the honour of meeting her and having the opportunity to talk to her about Cornwall Blind Association and the Club, its members and activities.

It was a lovely afternoon, very informal, relaxed and HRH Princess Alexandra was very pleasant and easy to talk to. I feel very lucky to have had this chance due to my work with Cornwall Blind Association.
