work, I was concerned about finding qualified mechanics who can work on 47-year-old cars. I found out there are several who do a great job. I used Dan McCurdy Automotive on Merivale Rd. or Parker Auto Care on Bellevue Ave. I was enjoying this so much that I bought a 1961
Red Ford Thunderbird from a Place d’ Orleans Cruise Night. When a chip, dent or -- heaven forbid -- a rust spot appeared, it was off to Roberts Auto Body, where their colour matching was unbelievable. Life was good. I attended cruise night for years. I watched hundreds
of people as they looked at more than 300 to 400 old beauties, including my Riviera and T’Bird. I left the cruise nights to go home with hundreds of other cars and the deep rumble of their engines. Some drivers were impatient and some started to rev at about 7,000 rpm: noisy, but so special. It was the 60s, when counting
carbs meant Holly 4 barrels or Edelbrock 3 deuces. Gas was at 31 cents. The total import-car share of the U.S. Market was 4.89 a share, led by VW, Renault, Triumph, Volvo, Mercedes, Austin-Healey, Fiat, MG, Peugeot, and Jaguar. Cruise night brings you back to
