PIERRE LABROSSE SCENT FLASK,

RARE ELIZABETH I SILVER-GILT MOUNTED TIGERWARE JUG,

the hinged cover embossed with masks and fruit, and the top mount engraved with horizontal bands of strapwork and arabesque scrolls, the foot mount with embossed border of stylized ribbons, maker’s mark c.c. above a millrind, 1573.

one side depicting a robed male figure standing in front of a prunus tree with two birds in flight above, the other side depicting a similar figure seated within a gazebo surrounded by trees and foliage, the top with pull-out stopper, the underside of the base struck with ‘angers’ type maker’s mark, London, c.1697, silver gilt.

Believed to be unique.

cylindrical sconce pierced with hearts, circles and scrolls, the underside of the base inscribed with contemporary initials ‘IR’,

by George Garthorne, 1690, total length 11in.
