IMPORTANT MEISSEN GROUP CALLED ‘THE POLISH HANDKISS’

by J.J. Kaendler,the lady seated on rockwork while a Pole stoops to kiss her left hand. This is one of the rare examples of a Meissen group having a full description in the factory records dated 1744,

crossed swords mark in blue.
