6TH BENGAL LIGHT INFANTRY. An extremely scarce Field Officer’s 1880
pattern forage cap, the body of rifle green cloth, this with broad black
oak-leaf pattern band, gold bullion badge being a strung bugle horn
over ‘6’, thin gold orris cord around the top edge, drooping leather peak
with inlaid gold lace; the crown with black cloth knop and lace
decoration, original leather sweat band and crimson silk quilted lining,
1880-c1897, one small stain to the crown, otherwise in very good
condition £300-450
Note. Formed from the 43rd Light Infantry in 1861, took the extra title ‘Jat’ in
1897 and became the 6th Jat Light Infantry in 1903.

19TH HYDERABAD REGIMENT. A rare WW2 period khaki felt slouch hat, the
pagri of white linen with a green linen top edge and bearing a diamond
shaped green cloth badge with yellow embroidered ‘XIX’; complete
with chin strap and leather sweatband, this stamped with supplier’s
details, ‘J. Wear & Co. 1942’, some surface mothing otherwise good
condition; together with Khaki Service Tunic and Cap, for an officer of
the 19th Hyderabad Regiment, silver cap badge and collar badges,
Kings crown, rank badges to the rank of Captain, minor service wear,
otherwise good condition (lot) £150-200
Note. Formed in 1922 and comprising five battalions, became the Kumaon Regiment in 1945.

INDIAN ENGINEERS. A 1930’s period Lieut-Colonel’s khaki Service Dress tunic and trousers bearing correct pattern ‘India’
bronze collar badges and brass buttons with star and ‘Indian Engineers’, medal ribbons for the MC WW1 trio (MID) etc.,
vendor’s research indicates the uniform to be that of C. A. G. Rundle; INDIAN POLICE, a senior officer’s blue cloth peaked
forage cap with KC plated cap badge and similar chin strap buttons. INDIAN MARINE, a small size printed linen red ensign
bearing the Union cross in the upper canton and applied printed roundel showing the star, ‘Heavens Light Our Guide’
etc., two small blue linen pennants both with applied KCs and Indian roundels (one badly mothed); REGIMENTAL
PHOTOGRAPHS, a group of nineteen originals (some duplication) postcard to cabinet sizes, mainly officers and the majority

IMPERIAL GERMAN PRUSSIAN OFFICER’S PICKELHAUBE. A good example, the black
leather skull with standard eagle plate, all metal fittings present, the
roundel at the base of the spike with age fracture, period cockades and
chin scales, the leather sweatband part perished and shrinkage to the
peak linings, some nuts incorrectly replaced, good condition £250-350
