Sebastian “PLAY Ultimate!” Toth, also
known as “Grade 2” or “Gumbi” has been
a force on the Edmonton Ultimate scene
since he started playing 7 years ago.
His enthusiasm is infectious to others. He
shares his love of the game by volunteering
at local clinics and as a mentor.
His career highlights include a recent
2008 World Championship title playing with
Vancouver’s legendary Furious George with
his current goal being a repeat at Worlds
2010.
Seb’s speed and wiry frame lend well to
his other passion of climbing and his main
role as cutter on the field.
He lists Furious George his favourite
team, and Potlatch, Wapooti, Flowerbowl,
and UPA tourneys as his favourites to
date. He’s played everywhere from Perth,
Australia to Quito, Ecuador, with Paganello
on his current list of “haven’t yet but must”
play.
When asked about Edmonton’s Ulti
