The beautiful and talented singer
has made her way to the top of the charts with a unique
voice, rhythmic belly dancing routines and a humble per-
sona that shines like the sun. One of her greatest attributes
is not the musical talent but the tenderhearted and genuine
woman full of life and charisma.
As one of the most successful crossover artist, her style
is as exotic as her culture and her life. The Colombian and
Lebanese beauty wrote her first song at the age of 8, and by
the age of 13 she had a record deal with Sony in Colombia.
By the time Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll was 17, she had
founded her first foundation to aid children, which she
named after one of her first major albums Pies Descalzos
(Bare feet).
