£3.50 per document* or standard hourly rate of £14.00 for typing/admin, or £18.00 for audio typing and telephone
calls. Hourly rates will be invoiced to the nearest 15 minutes, ie 40 minutes work = £10.50. Timing will be
detailed on all invoices.

How many invoices do you raise in a week? if you are a builder for instance, you may have two jobs completed
per month, give me the job details, I will type it up and send it out for you as soon as you finish. If payment
becomes overdue on one of your bills, let me know and I will send out a reminder letter for you. In addition, you
visit 4 potential new customers in this month and ask me to type up and send out the quotations. How long would
this take you to do in your normal routine? What would it cost you at your own hourly rate? What would this cost
you to subcontract to YourOfficeAngel?

From the above document timings, you may be able to give yourself a fair idea of how much help you would need
per week, or per month, and therefore estimate what it would cost you to sub-contract your secretary, and to
compare that against taking on a full or part time permanent assistant.

For the above work alone:
Estimate £25-30 per week / £100-120 per month / £1200-1440 per year
Or you may have to multiply this workload by 5 (10 invoices, 5 letters & 20 quotes)
= £125 per week / £500 per month / £6000 per year

BUT REMEMBER; it's all sub-contracted: no tax, NI, PAYE, sick pay, holiday pay, maternity leave/pay, overheads,
office space, phone system, computer etc

Compare how much time you really need, against a salaried part time worker, working the average part time
hours of 18 to 22 hours per week at say an average of £8.00 per hour:
22hrs = (£176/wk, £704/mth) £8448/year or 18hrs = (£144/wk, £576/mth) £6912/year

But do you really have enough work to keep this part time person busy for their whole time? Could you get away
with paying ad-hoc for only half of the hours just as and when you need it, no commitments, no overheads?

Typing Rates:
Between 55-65 words per minute. Basic 2 paragraph 1 page letter, approx 125 words = 5-7 mins. 2 page report,
lots of condensed paragraphs/typing, approx 900 words, = 25/30 min

* Per document: A standard 1 or 2 page letter style document, price will revert to hourly rate for longer or more
complex reports or documents involving pictures, tables etc.

** Audio Typing: Is not a like for like timing process. 1 hr of speech cannot be typed in 1 hr. It is generally
accepted typing of audio takes 4 times as long depending on the quality, clarity of speech etc. (Though probably
only around twice as long in my experience)
