AFTER 30 years in travel and having spent many of those years being knocked down by the likes of Thomas Cook and Thomson and many of the other big operators, with them constantly undercutting our prices to poach the business from us, it makes a refreshing change to be able to praise Raj Mistry and Collette Holidays for all the support they have given us. First, he visits our office with lots of enthusiastic ideas to help us promote their product. I have just confirmed a “Best of
Australia and New Zealand” tour for two passengers for £14,124.

Collette handed me the golden ticket
The clients were past clients of
mine from three years ago, and they had approached Collette Tours direct for the prices. Collette Holidays then sent them a letter advising them to come to us. The booking only took two phone calls, which were answered straight away by knowledgeable staff, and the commission was higher then many of the other tour operators pay us. Also, as no discount was discussed
by the clients, I did not have to discount!
It would be really nice if some of the other tour operators took a leaf out of Collette Worldwides’ book and supported the small family-owned independent travel agents so we could all start to make a good living out of the travel industry. Claire Branson
