Nowhere can match Orlando for the number
and size of its theme parks, but there are still
some viable short-haul alternatives.
One of the best summer options is Spain’s
PortAventura on the Costa Dorada, which is
one hour’s drive south of Barcelona.
The park is adding new attractions this year
and there is also the neighbouring Caribe
Aquatic Park to keep the youngsters amused.
