The first Soneva property outside the Maldives
is due to be unveiled by upmarket hotel firm
Six Senses on Ko Kood, a remote island on
the east coast of Thailand, in April.
Soneva Kiri will have 42 villas with
private pools along the beachfront and on a
hillside overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.
Guests will have personal electric carts for
travel around the property. Resort facilities
include an outdoor cinema, a children’s club,
and one of the renowned Six Senses spas.
The property will also have its own airport
on a neighbouring island, served from
Bangkok by the hotel’s eight-seat Cessna air-
craft. Guests will be met at Suvarnabhumi
airport in the Thai capital by a Soneva butler
and shown to a first-class lounge to wait for
their 60-minute connecting flight. On arrival
they will be transferred by speedboat.
Room rates are from £802 per night.
