The Center for Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CEB), a research division of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC), is seeking an energetic
leader to become Director of Biostatistics. This individual would be responsible for leading the Biostatistics Section, which was founded in 1999 and currently
includes 10 faculty and 8 staff. Faculty appointments are with the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (UCCOM). This position is at the
academic rank of Full Professor with tenure in the Department of Pediatrics.
Qualifi ed candidates must have a doctoral degree in Biostatistics or Statistics and have progressed to the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor. A strong

the academic health center; mentor junior faculty and trainees; increase the success of existing programs; and successfully develop new initiatives.
CCHMC ranked second in grants from the National Institutes of Health for pediatric research, with over $91 million awarded in fi scal 2007. With our newly
completed research building, we now have nearly 1 million square feet of research space. The CEB currently includes 40 faculty and staff, generates more than
$2.5 million in its own extramural grants each year, provides collaborative support to 25 divisions of CCHMC and several departments of the UCCOM, and is
connected with graduate teaching programs in biostatistics and statistics. The biostatistics faculty also have extramurally funded research in statistical methods,
notably, in mediational modeling, Bayesian statistical applications, quantile regression, and design and analysis of imaging and genetic studies with multiply
correlated data.
Interested candidates should send a letter describing their qualifi cations and interests along with their curriculum vitae, and contact information for three
