job involve actual program planning and
onsite logistics. I love to see the program
come to life with speakers, lively sessions,

program content.
On a personal note, I was born and
raised in Washington, DC. My husband,
Robert Butler, has been retired since 1998.
(I am so glad he decided to go back to work
part time!)
I have three wonderful siblings. My
brother currently works as a police detective
in DC; one sister recently retired and moved
to North Carolina after working 34 years as a
Montessori school teacher; and my youngest
sister is a former police officer who recently
returned to work after raising my terrific
niece and nephews for 10 years. I have a very
close family and thoroughly enjoy spending
as much time with them as possible.
I am the proud mother of two adult
sons, Kris and Korey. Korey, a U.S. Marine,
is currently stationed in Iraq. This is his sec-
ond tour of duty. We are looking forward
to his return in May 2008. Kris also served
