Profi le: Tehno World, founded in 2003, focuses on polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) pipe for a variety of infrastructure markets including water, gas, sewage and irrigation networks. The company wants to expand beyond Romania, and become a leading supplier of PE and PP pipe.
Product lines: The company supplies its pipe into a number of end markets. In potable water, its crack-resistant PE 100 RC pipe – in single- and double-wall – is manufactured according to ISO 4427 standards. It also makes PE80 and PE100 pipe – for both water and gas. Its large drainage pipe is made from corrugated PE and PP, and is available in diameters of 160-1200mm and lengths up to 6m.
Factory location: The company has a single manufacturing operation at its 90,000 sq m headquarters in Suceava, in north-eastern Romania. Here, there are two production halls, each of 2,000 sq m. One hall is used to produce HDPE pressure pipe for water, gas and sewage. Production here is 70 tonnes/day, for pipe in a range of 20-1200mm diameter. The second hall makes 20 tonnes/day of HDPE and PP corrugated pipe.
