ollowing the recent unveiling of its fresh brand identity, QRL Radiator Group – formerly Quinn Radiators – has strengthened its leadership team with three new senior appointments.


Marking the creation of three new positions, QRL welcomes Mark Derbyshire as Commercial Managing Director for its panel radiator ranges; Lee Kenney as Commercial Managing Director for Design by QRL and custom heating and cooling specialist Merriott; and Maura McCabe as General Manager for Ireland. s part of its ongoing expansion, FDS Consult, an expert on fire engineering in the UK, has added two Associate Fire Engineers to its


growing team.


Both Granville Harris and Hayden Julian will be working on FDS Consult’s impressive portfolio which includes The Corniche, a mixed-use development situated on the Thames’ Albert Embankment.


The pair have an extensive knowledge of the fire industry, having worked for the London Fire Brigade for a total of 60 years between them.


Granville, who has also worked within London Fire Brigade’s Fire Engineering Department and more recently at International Fire Consultants as a Senior Fire Engineer, will be working on design proposals alongside architects and designers to create the most appropriate fire safety strategy for each individual project.


Carrying out similar tasks to Granville, Hayden Julian – who is based in the company’s London offices – will also be working with FDS Consult’s clients, including Berkeley Homes and Lend Lease to deliver tailor-made fire strategies.

Patrick Parsons strengthens low carbon energy assessment team


onsulting engineers, Patrick Parsons, have strengthened their team of Low Carbon Energy Assessors with two senior mechanical engineers receiving accreditation from The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). Gerard Hosford, Associate, and Aled Williams, Senior Mechanical Engineer, completed a specialist training course to gain certification as Level 5 Low Carbon Energy Assessors (LCEAs), providing clients with tailored expert advice on energy efficient design and operation of commercial buildings.

Patrick Parsons are accredited Low Carbon Consultants, enabling them to go beyond the current legal minimum in improving the energy performance of buildings and to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPC), which sets out the energy efficiency grade of a commercial building.

osch Commercial and Industrial has reinforced its sales team with a new Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Sales Manager.


The news follows the announcement that the heating and hot water appliance manufacturer has entered the UK air conditioning market with the launch of a new VRF range. Carlos Leyton joins Bosch with more than five years’ experience in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Industry.


Beginning his career in Caracas,


Venezuela, Carlos worked for some of the leading names in air conditioning installation and manufacture, before his most recent project brought him to the UK where he oversaw the updating of HVAC Systems and preventive maintenance at GlaxoSmithKline’s R&D facility in Hertfordshire.


Carlos will be responsible for liaising with and advising consultants and specifiers on Bosch’s VRF system design and installation in order to deliver efficient performance plans within agreed budgets and time-scales. Phil Divall, National Commercial

Since joining Remeha Commercial in 2012, James has worked in multiple roles at the company, most recently as National Sales Manager.
