EXHIBITION PREVIEW FEATURE
designed as an entry-level machine offering compact design and low operating costs that can tackle all production tasks, from sample part to batch production. Dugard is highlighting its Lunan range of cost-effective VMCs and CNC lathes, while other major exhibitors include XYZ Machine Tools, Matsuura, Yamazaki Mazak, Haas Automation, Unison and Bystronic. TPS Weldtech returns with its range of welding solutions, and JHP Machine Sales will introduce machines from Italy’s Echo Research & Development, and Dutch manufacturer Bewo. Subcontracting is another major feature of the show, and again covers a very broad spectrum of services – from fabrication, electronics design and production, to specialist manufacturing services. For example, surface finishing solutions will be shown by Fimark, which has recently invested in the latest laser surface texturing machinery. Five axis laser micro machining offers possibilities for the design of complex work pieces made of different materials in three dimensions, says the company, and enables permanent changes to the material’s surface texture, structure and roughness.
ALSO ON SHOW Hepco’s newest demonstration unit - the HepcoMotion guidance for Beckhoff XTS (eXtended Transport System) – will also be showcased. This solution utilises Hepco’s PRT2 and 1-Trak guidance systems to work with Beckhoff’s XTS circuit linear system to meet the needs of higher duty XTS applications where motion profiles and long term durability requirements are particularly demanding. There will be a demonstration unit on the stand so visitors can see the new system in action. A wide range of other key products will also be on display. Bernstein will be showcasing three new product ranges. The new slim line Type I49 double insulated position switch has been specifically designed for applications where space is restricted and high ingress protection is required. The IN62 and IN65 series are standard switches that conform to DIN EN 50047 and offer a protection class of IP67. FDB Panel Fittings will be displaying
its extensive range of cabinet and enclosure hardware accessories for the specialist panel builder. The company will be focused on products such as ¼ turn locks, stainless steel hinges and compression locks, as well as wing and T handles. The specialist Dirak Snapline modular system and vibration proof transport locking will feature, along with special

technologies – threadlocking, sealing, gasketing, retaining, instant and structural bonding. Visitors will also be able to hear about the company’s success stories – such as its work with Ford – and see its new Twin Rotor Pump. HK Holdings will be offering visitors the opportunity to experience the potential of Metal 3D Printing & Wire Erosion (EDM). This will be demonstrated using the company’s Mitsubishi MV1200R EDM machine and 3D Systems ProX100. The ProX100 is a high- performance, high-quality alternative to traditional manufacturing processes. This provides a multitude of benefits such as reduced waste, reduced set up times, greater production speeds, very

Ideal for applications across the aerospace, automotive and medical industries, this lightweight system is available for travel lengths of up to 2m, allowing designers to develop a more cost- effective solution. Another focus will be the readychain speed 2.0. This is a pre-harnessed energy chain with integrated attachment designed for fast swapping. As with the whole readychain service, the manufacturer only needs to determine exactly what is required, and igus will supply the energy chain fully assembled and ready to fit. The company will also be showcasing
its wear resistant and maintenance free tribotape materials along with the new xiros ball bearings material S180.
