USAS Marketing and Resource Development Laying the Ground Work for 2016


It was a very busy year


for Marketing and Resource Development. We attended nine conservation organiza- tion and shooting industry shows, hosted three donor groups (about 50 individu- als) at the Olympic Train- ing Center and participated in four fundraising events. These activities provided us with the chance to promote

Through a connection made at The Dallas Safari Club, we were able to suc- cessfully execute a very successful fundraiser in Washington D.C. in Octo- ber. We hosted a reception at the Metropolitan Club in D.C. and a clay shoot at the First Mine Run Club in Mary- land. We are looking forward to hosting our Shikar guests in Rio. Shikar Safari Club continues to be one of USAS’s most VLJQLÀ FDQW À QDQFLDO VXSSRUW ers. We’re happy to report that the USAS Shikar grant has been approved through 2017.


Show we met with Doug Hamlin, Executive Director of Publications for the NRA. Hamlin generously offered to promote USA Shooting in the publications of the NRA. This has provided USAS with exposure that would be cost prohibitive for us to purchase. We have used the NRA platforms to promote the Kimber Team Match II pistol and the USAS Fan Club.
