mcor, a global leader in flexible and rigid plastics packaging and Kezzler,
a leader in serialisation business services have formed a global partnership to offer customers advanced packaging serialisation backed by a cloud platform. MaXQ offers brand owners activations including unique identification codes printed on every pack for digital consumer engagement, anti- counterfeiting and track and trace. Amcor’s leadership in packaging
innovation paired with Kezzler’s proven technology platform paves the way to making every package unique and interactive. The unique codes are generated and printed on each pack, seamlessly integrating with customers’ existing packaging supply chain. “Our customers are looking to provide
more personalised experiences for their consumers,” says Marco Hilty, VP marketing and R&D for Amcor Flexibles Europe and Americas. “Increasingly our customers must take action against the counterfeiting of their products. We are extremely pleased to partner with Kezzler in giving each pack a unique digital identity to address these needs.” MaXQ allows brand owners to print a
unique, serialised code on each pack that can be read with a smart phone or sent via SMS. Brand owners and consumers can instantly verify whether a product is authentic or a fake. The codes can be used for consumer engagement activities
such as loyalty programs and customer feedback. Brand owners are unlimited and interactions can be tailored to the consumer. The information generated as consumers interact with the codes provides valuable market insights.
SEAMLESSLY INTEGRATED SERVICE “Partnering with one of the most respected packaging companies in the world is a testament to the technologies and services we have developed for many years,” says Kezzler CEO and founder, Magnar Loeken. “We believe MaXQ will eliminate the complexity of serialisation services. Amcor and Kezzler provide a seamlessly integrated service that covers printing and
SECURE CORROSION- PROTECTION PACKAGING
The conundrum faced by logistics, shipping and manufacturing personnel are very similar: how to ensure that your product remains in pristine condition ready for use post storage or despatch? “We have a wealth of packaging experience and have offered advice and support to many well- known businesses including JCB, Siemens, Intel and Alstom,” comments Toorak managing director Richard Hancock. “Our experience is spread across automotive, aerospace and energy companies all looking to protect their asset against problems such as corrosion or rust. Most prospective users have been using more traditional packaging materials that aren’t fit for purpose. We’ve seen countless containers of components stored outside that are literally rusting away. With a degree of education we are able to demonstrate the many cost and time

saving benefits of INTERCEPT. I don’t know of a project yet where using this material hasn’t been significantly advantageous to the client.” INTERCEPT is available in sheets, bags, shrink
wrap or a woven material to provide robust and secure protection against corrosion and ESD damage during transit and storage. Guaranteed for long- term protection (more than 10 years) it works within -35˚C to +80˚C, is recyclable and its oil-free properties negates the need for cleaning, making it the product of choice for many automotive companies. Siemens are using bespoke Intercept woven bags to package, protect and transport turbine engines around the world.

IT operations so brand owners can fully concentrate on their brands and consumers instead of on logistics.” MaXQ codes which can be expressed as
QR, alphanumeric or bar codes are generated by Kezzler at over 1 billion per minute and printed by Amcor at industrial speed. The dynamic codes are activated by brand owners and can be managed using Kezzler’s proven technology platform. MaXQ provides a unique solution to FMCG brand owners where standard QR codes have historically fallen short. “Standard QR codes on packaging are
static and provide very little dynamic content,” explains Hilty. “The same code is printed on millions of packs and will in most cases just take the consumer to a static webpage. MaXQ codes make each pack unique and offer the consumer relevant applications and real value that can be collected and experienced with each pack scanned. MaXQ makes every user’s experience personalised, motivating the consumer to continuously interact with the brand.” MaXQ is available across Amcor’s portfolio of flexible and rigid plastic packaging for the food, beverage, healthcare, home and personal care and tobacco industries.
