Meet the debutants hitting WTM London


AIRLINES, LUXURY resorts and technology specialists are among more than 100 exhibitors set to show at WTM London for the first time. The first-timers are just some of


the 5,000 international exhibitors attending the event held from November 2-5 at ExCeL in London. All nine of the WTM


new, including the Moroccan National Tourist Office. Meanwhile, the Middle East has

BUYERS’ CLUB ‘Apply early for Speed Networking sessions’


WORLD TRAVEL Market London is urging members of its Buyers’ Club to sign up as soon as possible for the WTM Speed Networking programme or risk disappointment. Introduced in 2010, there are now


2 sessions at the event held on Monday and Thursday. In 2014 a total of 303 buyers and 1,436


exhibitors attended, facilitating £2.5 billion in industry deals. WTM Buyers’ Club manager Raj Thakkar said: “The WTM Speed Networking sessions are vital in helping buyers and exhibitors

INAUGURAL LOUNGE


Wellness area sells out as sector booms


THE INAUGURAL WTM Wellness Lounge at WTM has already sold out of allotted space – more than three months before the show. A total of 25 exhibitors, including


20 businesses making their debut appearance at the show, have booked space for the lounge which will be open from November 4-5. Those taking part will be given a


private pod within the lounge, a networking breakfast with wellness buyers, priority access to WTM Speed Networking sessions and online networking tool. Exhibitors include Iceland’s


Blue Lagoon, India’s Somatheeram Ayurveda Group and visitBath. New exhibitors include Anand


Collection, which represents upmarket properties and resorts; the Hotels Plaza Andorra chain; and Healing Hotels of the World. WTM’s senior exhibition director


Simon Press said: “The success of our new Wellness Lounge reflects the rapid growth of the wellness industry. “The global wellness market is


now valued at $3.4 trillion and is growing, as more people want to improve their physical and mental wellbeing during their leisure time.”

Club members have really embraced the concept of quick initial business meetings to discover if there is an opportunity for further detailed discussions. “WTM’s purpose is to facilitate
