Some Gathering participants loaded diapers from buses into the gym at Starfi sh Family Services as their service project. Congregations, led by youth and Women of the ELCA groups, contributed 1 million diapers for Detroit families in need. “This provides a lot of relief to families that are choosing between feed- ing their baby or putting them in a diaper,” said Cheryl Majeske, volunteer resource specialist at Starfi sh.
