Starting at $79.95, Econami offerings pres- ent a full-featured decoder available in three formats to recreate sounds of steam, diesel, and electric locomotives. SoundTraxx’s Econami line includes 16-bit sound, Hyperlight lighting effects, and Hyperdrive 2 advanced motor con- trol. Additionally, these units possess 34-function support and Flex-Map tech- nology, which is an intuitive, math-free method for assigning any function to an “F” key on your DCC throttle. Econami Diesel decoders provide a
choice of 16 air horns, seven bells, and five popular prime mover selections, including EMD 567 non-turbo, EMD 645 turbo, EMD 710 turbo, GE FDL-
16 (modern), and Alco 244. Econami Steam provides a choice of 16 whistles, four different airpumps, six bells, and five exhaust chuff selections for light, medium, heavy, geared or articulated steam locomotives.
