&Rʼs corporate headquarters and
in America are being moved from Glen Ellyn and Niles in Illinois to a new location in the Greater Chicago area.
The relocation to a 320,000sq ft facility in Roselle in Illinois is already under way and will be completed by the end of the year. However, M&Rʼs Glen Ellyn and Niles manufacturing plants will continue to run at full capacity until the move to Roselle is complete. M&R CEO, Rich Hoffman, said the move is the result of years of planning and preparation.
He added: “While demand for M&R equipment has continued to accelerate, the amount of space available to make that equipment has stayed the same. This move affords us the unique opportunity to streamline production and introduce new computerised and robotic design, machining, and assembly tools. It also allows us to

bring all our domestic production under one roof – and still have ample room for future expansion.” M&Rʼs general manager, Mike Sonera, commented: “Weʼve been bursting at the seams for years. “M&Rʼs current production facilities are streamlined and efficient, but weʼve been constrained by lack of space and by having manufacturing operations split between our Glen Ellyn and Niles facilities. Itʼs been difficult at times, but the new facility will bring economies of scale, space for more linear assembly scenarios, and the latest in high-tech equipment – while at the same time reducing the redundancy inherent in our current multi-facility environment.” M&Rʼs manufacturing capacity is expected to double by January 1, 2016. Mr Hoffman added: “The increase in floor space, coupled with an infusion from new investors, will equip M&R to address the screen printing and digital imaging and printing needs of the industry for decades to come.”
Wild Thang sponsored the International Mersey River Festival
T
he International Mersey River Festival took place from June 5 to 7 on the waterfront in Liverpool. This year promotional merchandise company Wild Thang was chosen as the headline sponsor of the festival, which was supported by 100 local businesses, known as the 100 Club. Andrew Dwerryhouse, Wild Thang MD, said: “It was a privilege and honour to be the headline sponsor for this yearʼs International River Mersey Festival. “With such a huge opportunity we wanted to maximise every marketing element we possibly could which included street, programme and website branding, social media interaction, networking over the event and the opportunity to interact with the public giving away over a thousand balloons and mint cards over the event weekend. We topped this off by designing a range of River Festival merchandise that sold
out during the three days. “We have already generated easily enough work and quotes for more than double the amount it cost to join the 100 Club and itʼs still such early days when it comes to the effect that the event has had of raising our
